Start with one photo size for the batch

Printmira combines up to 20 photos in a PDF project using shared photo dimensions and paper settings. For example, prepare a batch of 2 × 3 inch photos on Letter paper.

If you need some photos at 2 × 3 inches and others at 5 × 7 inches, prepare separate projects. The shared setup is useful for consistent prints; it is not a layout editor for independently sizing every photo.

Build and inspect the page

  1. Choose the dimensions you want each finished photo to have.
  2. Select the sheet you will print on: Letter, A4, 4 × 6 or 5 × 7.
  3. Select the photos for your project, up to the 20-photo limit.
  4. Choose Auto Arrange to lay out multiple photos on the available pages. Use One Per Page when each photo should have its own page.
  5. Review every page and each photo's crop before generating the PDF.

The project limit does not mean 20 photos will fit on one sheet. Photo dimensions, paper dimensions and the arrangement determine the page count. Keep your required print size and accept extra pages when necessary.

Leave room for the job after printing

As a planning example, four 2 × 3 inch photo rectangles in two columns and two rows occupy 4 × 6 inches before any spacing. This calculation helps you judge a layout; it is not a promise about the app's automatic arrangement.

Inspect the preview for space between images and around the page. Think about where scissors or a paper cutter will travel. Avoid putting an important image edge where your printer cannot print.

Use the full page preview rather than judging an enlarged individual photo. A sharp-looking close-up does not tell you how much space remains on the sheet.

Check each composition

Matching outer dimensions do not guarantee matching compositions. A landscape source and a portrait source can need different crop decisions, even when both will become 2 × 3 inch prints.

Review faces and text near the edges. Filling each rectangle can remove image content; keeping the entire photo can leave white space. If a full image does not share the target proportions, its visible printed area may be smaller than the surrounding rectangle.

Export once, then print the arranged PDF

Creating and previewing the project is free. Generating the photo PDF requires Pro, available with monthly, annual or lifetime access.

Print the exported PDF as a complete page. Do not apply a second multiple-pages-per-sheet layout in the printing software: that changes how the already-arranged pages fit on paper.

For AirPrint, your iPhone and compatible printer need the same Wi-Fi network. Check that the chosen paper matches the PDF. If your iPhone offers no scale control, use supported printer software or transfer the file to a computer. Mac Preview provides a percentage Scale setting; start with 100%.

Print one page first. Measure a photo's width and height before running the remaining pages or extra copies.

Prepare your next print.

Common questions

Will all 20 photos fit on one page?

Not necessarily. Twenty is the project photo limit. The number of pages depends on the selected sizes and arrangement.

Can I give every photo a different print size?

A batch uses one shared print configuration. Make separate projects for different photo sizes.

Will One Per Page enlarge a small photo to fill the sheet?

It chooses a separate page for each photo. Keep checking the photo dimensions separately from the paper dimensions.
